The rock community is rallying behind her at a special benefit concert while Go Betty Go guitarist Betty Cisneros involves all of her in the fight against cancer.

Sisneros bandmates and musicians across the country are leading Betty’s All Ages Benefit Show at Paramount, Los Angeles, on Sunday, July 3rd at 3:00 pm.

The guitarist was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

“It’s bittersweet,” said GoBetty Go drummer Aixa Vilar.

“Obviously we wanted to have a regular show, but we’re all very close to everyone, including Betty himself, basically donating their time and venue. Thank you. “

In addition to the show, GoFundMe is set up. Of that $ 50,000 goal, the site raised $ 42,830. Go to bit.ly/GoFundMeBetty.

The selfless community behind Cisneros raised her spirit in the process of her healing. Mr. Villar said that if “true love and support” could cure cancer, the guitarist would be completely healed.

Former Go Betty Go singer Emily Valentine will appear as a special guest at the concert, and Two Tens guitarist Adam Bones will play the guitar for Cisneros. Other special guests in the lineup include Dollyrots, Johnny Madcap and the Distractions, Bad Cop / Bad Cop Linh Le and Jennie Cotterill, and MC / host Hazy Chaos.

The punk rock quartet live set includes the group’s most popular songs and some covers. Specifically, it’s a Ramones song at the request of Cisneros. Le and Cotterill will do an acoustic set.

“It’s a very understated statement that Betty is part of our band family. It appeared in the same scene in Los Angeles almost 20 years ago,” the Dollyrots said in a statement.

“She is’Tear Betty’for our kids and one of the worst guitarists and songwriters out there. We know she is one of the strongest women we know and show her cancer as her boss, and here to support her in every way we can. I’m in. “

GoBettyGo is Cisneros. Vilar; Bassist Michel Langer. And Vilar’s sister, vocalist Nicorette.

The musicians went to elementary school together in Glendale. However, Villar said they were not introduced by mutual friends until the end of high school. They jammed together shortly thereafter and made their debut in 2000.

With two warped tours, regular cross-country tours, and appearances in South by Southwest, the punk rock band quickly moved from playing local shows to playing for nationwide audiences. With their rise, they were signed by the indie label SideOneDummy and released their debut album “Worst Enemy” in 2004.

Since then, Go Betty Go has been working hard for what they do best: fans around the world.

When Cisneros was diagnosed with cancer, the group was working on new music in a recording studio. Vilar then said their plans were “yanked from below,” but they didn’t think twice about pausing the music while the guitarist focused on her health.

Cisneros has received several doses of chemotherapy and is looking forward to surgery. Despite these challenges, her band has the belief that she will win.

“We’re just doing what we have to do to heal Betty and keep her in the right mind,” Biller said.

“All of us have a very optimistic outlook and, in the best of our luck, do what we can to make sure she is in a place where she can fight and recover.

“It’s a shame she has to experience this, but at least she knows she has a complete team of friends, family and fans who have just survived this very difficult and difficult time. So the show will be great. “
